Indoor Hanging Herb Garden

With Indoor Hanging Herb Garden, you may enjoy all of your favorite herbs all season long. These are not only simple to cultivate and diverse, but they’re also ideal for individuals who don’t have much room for a full-fledged garden.

Fresh herbs enhance the taste of the dish like nothing else, that is why you should keep them available at all times. What’s the best method to go about it? You may grow them directly in your own home. There are many beautiful indoor pots and plants to purchase, either you just want some fresh basil or wish to cultivate a variety of herbs.

Vertical is the way to go if you’re short on the room or need to construct some screening to give privacy on a patio, deck, or balcony. Vertical gardening makes the most out of your growing area by using upright growth habits or pots. It’s a method that works both indoors and outside! Indoors, brighten a kitchen or a barren wall, and outside, provide screening and color. You may also plant a kitchen garden at your back door or decorate a drab external wall. When you’re young, there’s no limitation to what you can do!

In a vertical environment, many various varieties of houseplants, annuals, perennials, and shrubs perform well, so you’re not limited in what you may use. The additional outside vertical growing area can be created by using window boxes, hanging pots, or a garden structure such as a trellis or tuteur. With a few simple craft or recycled materials, you may make a variety of planters to build your vertical garden.

So be creative and continue to learn about some of our favorite indoor and outdoor hanging herb garden ideas.

DIY: How to Make a Hanging Herb Planter

Setting together some kind of herb garden in a container, or even an upside-down hanging herb garden, requires minimal work, however you should do some preliminary study to verify that the herbs you select to plant together will flourish together.

While almost any hanging basket will work, you may realize that cord baskets perform better and are simpler to use when you want to have some variation. After fully soaking the baskets in water, line them with peat moss or a coconut lining. Push the moss thru the wireframe from within. Coconut liners should be able to fit snugly into the wire basket.

After that, cut a plastic shopping bag to fit within the basket and pierce drainage holes all over it. Cut holes in the moss or lining and tuck several herbs along the basket’s edges, tucking the lining back in around them.

Fill the container halfway with soil or a manure and sand mix, then plant your herbs, starting with the largest in the middle and working your way around this one, spacing them closely (2 to 4 inches, or 5 to 10 cm. apart). Fill the container with more soil, water gently, and hang it in a well-lit place that receives at least four to six hours of sunlight.
